How much does a Larking About design usually cost?

  • Costs will vary based on the complexity and deadline of a project.

    Please take just a few minutes to request a free, no obligation estimate! We also have pre-made pricing packages available to give you some ideas.

    Since Larking About Designs is an independently-owned freelance service, we are able to keep our costs quite low. Our estimates are always negotiable.

    We do expect 50% of the agreed up on price after a Sales Agreement has been negotiated. The other 50% will be due after post-production approvals and your site is ready to go!

What are your hours of operation?

  • Larking About Designs is a freelance enterprise which means I do not hold regular business hours. The number of clients I have at a time and the respective deadlines and expectations dictate how many hours a day are dedicated to design. This means that I can be very flexible to your schedule and needs!

Can I get an estimate without the free consultation?

  • For almost all projects, we will need to discuss what should be included before we can estimate a price. Our estimate request form isn't terribly daunting and should only take a few minutes to complete.

    Otherwise, we have special pricing packages put together to save you time and energy if you are looking for a more generic solution.

What about images and/or artwork?

  • Most projects look best with your logos, images and especially photographs. We will take care of any stock photography licensing for you. Layout images will be designed and provided at no additional cost!

    We can also provide custom artwork and animations by professional artists for your project at an additional fee.

What if I already have a website?

  • If you already have a website but would like it to be revamped, updated or redesigned I am happy to help! We can work with your existing site or start from scratch!

    I can also provide assistance with database administration, security or other issues that you may be experiencing with your website!

Will I be able to maintain and update my site?

  • Of course! Some companies will create a lovely design for you but allow you no way to update or manage your content without providing additional or ongoing payment for maintenance.

    We specialize in easy to use content management systems. It is your website and you need to feel comfortable controlling, updating and managing the content! No HTML or web experience is required to use your simple and intuitive administration system that will be created specifically for you!

    We do offer extended maintenance services if you are interested, but you will be able to maintain your site without further assistance.

    Each site we design comes with free six-month maintenance assistance in case you discover any minor problems or changes you would like implemented.

How long will it take to create my site?

  • This is another difficult question to answer without knowing a little more. I am flexible with deadline agreements and can meet almost any time crunch. Simple websites can be completed in only a matter of weeks while more elaborate sites with several hundred pages may take longer.

    If you contact us we can discuss realistic deadlines for your site depending on your expectations. No design should take longer than six months to complete.

How does a Sales Agreement work?

  • Once we have decided on the functionality and price of your project, we will complete a Sales Agreement which is designed to protect the interests of your project, your money and my business!

    The Sales Agreement will be drafted and/or modified to fit your specific project and can be signed through email, fax or postal mail. The agreement will require both of our signatures and approval before production will begin.
